Finding the Perfect Christmas Spice Mix (Featuring Our New Dessert Spices)

It’s officially December, which means home bakeries around the globe are open for “business”. If you’re preparing for a busy season of hosting, potlucks, and holiday visits, dessert spices might be just the thing to inspire you. Here are some ideas on how to get started:

Apple Pie: Great in –you guessed it– apple pie, but also delicious in a smoothie, yogurt, fruit salad, or as an ice cream topping!

Cinnamon Sugar: Best friend to french toast, glazed pecans, sweet potatoes, cocktails, –*deep breath*– popcorn, cookies, and corn-on-the-cob. Blend up your own cinnamon sugar butter to make every breakfast feel like Christmas morning.

Pumpkin Spice: Need we even say? This blend is such a classic that there’s practically a season named after it! Use it in pie and coffee (of course), or get creative and mix it in with your cake icing or waffle batter.

Gingerbread: Do you know the Muffin Man? We’re sure you do, and it’s likely he’s introduced you to the Gingerbread Man. But what about the Syrup… Señorita? Mix this blend with brown sugar, orange, and bourbon for a delectable homemade pancake syrup.

Salted Caramel: A baker’s delight. Add to your pastries, cookies, and bread dough, or use to flavor your oatmeal or cream of wheat. Just remember to season accordingly! Your sweet tooth will take the wheel on this one.

Those are our ideas, but we’d love to hear yours! If you incorporate Dangold dessert spices into your holiday menu, let us know at www.dangoldinc.com/testimonial/. Happy holidays, and happy baking!
