Adobo Ole Spice Blend
- 1 ½ pounds ground beef
- 1 egg
- 2 slices of bread
- 1 small can of tomato sauce
- ½ teaspoons onion & garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon adobo powder
- 1 tablespoon sofrito olives
- ½ red pepper sliced
- 2 or 3 slices of onions salt to taste
Scramble the egg in a bowl. Add the bread and the sofrito to the egg mixture and mix it well. Add the garlic & onion, and the adobo powder to the mix. Add the egg concoction to the ground beef, mix it well and make the meatballs.
Add just enough oil to cover the bottom of a pot, fry the meatballs and put them apart. Slice some onions and peppers and cook them in the same pot you were using for the meatballs. Sauté for a few minutes and then add the tomato sauce and ½ cans worth of water. Let it cook for a few minutes and then add the meatballs with some olives. Let it cook until the sauce has thickened and reduced to half.
